Terms of Service

By accessing or using CarFinder ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users — buyers, sellers, and visitors.

• You must be at least 18 years old to register and use CarFinder.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

As a seller, you agree that:

• You are the legal owner of the car or have the authority to sell it.
• All information in your listing (mileage, condition, price, photos) is accurate and not misleading.
• You will not list stolen, salvaged, or illegally imported vehicles.
• Duplicate listings for the same vehicle are not permitted.
• You will respond to genuine buyer enquiries in a timely manner.

CarFinder reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms without prior notice.

The following are strictly prohibited on CarFinder:

• Posting fraudulent, misleading, or scam listings
• Harvesting contact information from other users
• Using the platform for money laundering or illegal financial activity
• Attempting to hack, scrape, or disrupt the platform
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions
• Harassing, threatening, or impersonating other users

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to Ugandan law enforcement.

CarFinder is a marketplace platform. We facilitate connections between buyers and sellers but are not a party to the sale transaction itself.

• Always inspect a vehicle in person before making payment.
• Use traceable payment methods (Mobile Money, bank transfer) — avoid large cash payments without a receipt.
• CarFinder is not responsible for any disputes, losses, or fraud arising from private transactions.
• Listing fees paid to CarFinder are non-refundable once a listing is published.

When you upload photos or content to CarFinder, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace. You retain ownership of your content.

CarFinder's logo, brand assets, and platform design are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without written permission.

CarFinder is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not verify the mechanical condition of any listed vehicle — buyers are responsible for conducting their own inspections.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, CarFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction made through it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
